| On April 1, there was a change on our facebook accounts saying that Ally and I were no longer engaged... The thing is, it was April 1st, also known as April fools day!!!! Got ya!! Hope this did not cause heart attacks, seizures, or shortness of breath. It was just a little joke we thought would catch people off gueard maybe! On the contrary to our joke, Ally and I are doing very well as we plan for our wedding in less than 10 weeks! I can't believe how fast it is approaching and we are very excited! Ally went home over the weekend to see her parents and to try on her dress, I heard she looked absolutely beautiful! I have no doubt! God is so good and is continuing to be our source of strength through the business of school and the anticipation of marriage. Hope all is well with everyone else, and for this night of April 24... Goodnight! | | |
| I think that I'm finding out that I am not very good at keeping up with this whole web blog thing... Life is great though! I am currently employed at Starbucks and I enjoy it very much! Great opportunities to show Christ to those I work with. School has been pretty challenging this semester with balancing my schedule, but by God's grace I am getting through it!! Ally and I are doing very well. We are currently going through premarital counceling with a couple from our church, Placarita Baptist. Thus far it has been great! Our wedding plans are still slowly coming together and looking forward to Spring Break to begin to tie up the loose ends. Thank you all who have been praying for us, it's a blessing to have know brothers and sisters are... Please continue to as we see what God has for us as we take on life one day at a time! | | |

Last night, November 24, at 9:15pm I asked Allyson E. Vogel to be my wife!!!! Of course she said yes!! So I'm sure you all want to know how it happend! In the morning and for lunch Ally, her parents, and I went to Columbia Edge Water Country Club to check out their facilities for a wedding and had lunch. Then I went home to prepare for the night of the engagement while Ally went shopping with her parents. We then went to Ringside Steakhouse in downtown Portland for dinner. We then went back to my house, Ally thinking we were just going to watch a movie. We got there and I had her close her eyes and I walked her outside. I then sat her down, I got on my knee, opened the ring box, and had her open her eyes. She was completely taken back by all the lights, candles, flowers, flower petals, warmth of the heaters around her, slide show on the wall, and of course the beautiful rock before her gorgeous eyes. After saying, "Are you serious?" she said "yes!" I then put the ring on her finger!! Starting a new chapter in life with the love of my life!!! That's how it all happened!!! Here are some pictures of the night!!! Enjoy!! | | |
| So I was walking down to pick up Ally to go to church...it was a beautiful day. I had my hands in my pocket like any normal guy walking down the street, when I felt a relatively small piece of paper folded up. Curious, I grabbed it, and pulled it out of my pocket. Yes, that's right, "...and then I found $10!!!" It was amazing! This story goes out to Katie Singer, for all those "and then I found $5" stories and her shirt. It actually happend!! First time ever in my life!! I have no how the money got there! I was like "Thank you Lord!!" It truly has been a beautiful day!! Hope this story warmed your heart! $$$$$$ $$$$$$$ | | |
| Price Is Right!!!!!!!!!!!! So Ally and I and like 20 other people from my dorm went to the Price is Right at CBS Studios!!! How awesome is that!! We waited in line for like 5 hours and it was so worth it!! Remember being at home as a kid when you were sick and watching it on tv! Yeah, it was way better than that!!! One of the guys who went with us got on so it was really exciting! He had a chance to win a car, yet guessed the wrong numbers, but it was still great!!! Bob was a pretty funny guy. He really likes animals...seriously....he talked about his dog and it having surgery for like a half hour.... not really a half hour but a long time. During a commercial break Bob was trying to get the crowed to eewwww and ahhhhhh! and we wern't doing very well. So he called on individuals to give it a shot to show everyone how it is done. Then...he called on ME to try!!! Here was my momnet of fame before Bob Barker, so I gave a big, long, loud EWWWWW!!! as soon as I stopped his exact words were,"Sit down...next!" Everyone cracked up laughing... it was pretty funny. My moment to shine turned out to shine as much as dirt on a car... oh well!! The show airs on Dec. 18! Watch it if you can, you will see me and Ally in the crowd on the right!!! we are wearing red!! On a different note I am apply for jobs, and would ask for prayer on that issue, especially for the Starbucks one!! Thanks!! God has been so good and Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away!!! woohoo!! TTYL! | | |
